Welcome!
In commemorating the life of David J. Drakulich,
KIA Afghanistan, family and friends began pursuing ideas that
might have pleased David, a young soldier who was also a very
talented and inspired artist. Art was of top priority and after
trying out a few venues, we realized that the healing potential
of art should be shared with others who are affected by war.
What We Do
Located in Reno, Nevada, The David J. Drakulich
Art Foundation: For Freedom of Expression has formed with the
mission of providing art education and experiences to veterans,
their families, active service men and women and their families,
and gold star families (those who have lost a loved one in war).
In the process, we promote art in our community.
