Nevada Veterans Writing Project Poetry Reading, and Combat Paper

including Combat Paper, and such
topics as journaling, book making,
origami and pulp printing.

poetry from artists reflecting their
experiences with military service on
the medium of Combat Paper which
is handmade from deconstructed
garments worn in US Military service.
This exhibition will be publicly
displayed at the Northwest Reno
Library Art Gallery for the month of
July, 2013. Library Hours.

Artown is one of the nation's most comprehensive arts and
culture festivals, whch takes place annually during the
entire month of July in Reno, Nevada. In 2012, the festival
featured more than 500 events - with over 66 percent offered
free to the public - and attracted more than 300,000 people.
With more than 160 partners, the monthlong festival takes
place at venues citywide. Artown receives major funding
